Grand Palace Grand Palace Grand Palace

Shiny building
Thailand Capital City. Got here on 11th April for 4 nights quite late on, so decided to go down Khao San road to sample some street food and then went to bed before a full days sightseeing. What a mistake. We'd managed to come on the 1st day of Songkran (Thai New Year)!! All their celebrations consisted of was lining every street in Thailand and throwing gallons of water and paste on anyone or anything that went by. This was 24/7 and would last for 10 full days!! It didn't matter what you were wearing or where you were going, you were going to get wet. We did manage to float our way to the Grand Palace and some other small temples via Tuk Tuk which we hired for the for about 50p for as long as we wanted.
