So a quick blurb about getting to Bangkok from Boston. Thai Airways offers a direct flight from JFK to Bangkok but 18 straight hours on a plane! Unfortunately we were delayed for 6 hours! JFK is not a great place to be camping out. In addition to that I had hoped to get to Bangkok because we are staying at the Oriental! Well there goes my Jet-Lag massage with coffee beans! My legs are tired, my body aches and we arrive in Bangkok at 11:30pm. The only good thing about the day was the great reception we got at the Oriental. As soon as we arrived we had a glass of fresh glass of pressed OJ, jasmine orchid mini-leis and a porter that carried EVERYTHING to the room. I love the Oriental so far it is worth every penny! More later, tomorrow the Weekend Market.
