Sleepy heads

After finding the relative luxury of an airconditioned room and ear plugs there was no disturbing the weary travellers. A beer and pad thai (Street noodles) for supper settled us in for a 12 hour sleep. So much for getting up early to miss t he heat!
Anyway we made the most of the afternoon by visiting the Grand palace complex and saw the famous emerald budda (very little thing on an enormous tower??)
many tuk tuk rides and sky trains took us to the MBK center. One of the biggest indoor shopping experiances I HAve ever seen. One foor is dedicated to electronics alone!
Mum will be please to hear that I managed to leave without buying anything!
We are getting the 5.30 am train to the Cambodia border tomorrow and plaaning to stay at siem reap near Angkor. Appparently the road is one of the worst in the country. So wish us happy travels tomorrow.
We are looking forward to leaving the rustle and bustle of Bangkok.
