Bangkok-The Thai Way to Hell

I'm stuck in Bangkok until Monday because the train service to Chaing Mai was booked due to some holiday. Staying at the Landmark Hotel, then at the Buddy Lodge Guesthouse. It's crowed, smoggy and dirty...but very interesting in a Tijuana kind of way. At every turn some con-artist type tries to take me on a tour or sell me something. There are loads of stray dogs running about, as well as great food; hopefully the two aren't related...Met some English guys who thought they'd "fancy taking those Aussie blokes on" at a drinking match. Oregon's microbrews have been great training against the local Singha beer. Gotta go, more later!
