''Bangkok - The City of Angels'' - Who the hell made that name up? Death by Smog more like!!. The name is pretty deceptive until you know what it actaully translates to - 'Village of wild plums'.
So we arrived in Bangkok today after a 16 hour bus ride!!! Wasn't actually too bad once the person with the fish got off and I took a sleeping pill. Glad we did it overnight rather than wasting a day.
We went to Chakuchak Market today which is basically an outdoor market the size of 4 football pitches!! I bought a skirt, 2 hair bands things and 3 vets tops for 4 pounds!! bargain!! You could buy anything there from fake converse trainers to giant gold elephant heads and 5 foot samurai swords. Quite a cool place but very tiring.
Met up with 2 of lulu's friends from France who were on their holidays...see pic
