TAJIKISTAN with the Tajik Outlaws...Part 1. I'm really excited..replaced my computer...download my Tajikistan pics...like opening gold wrapped chocolate...hoping the wrapping indicates something special...nothing worse than stale and wretched. Cord...camera...USB...images like cards falling to the floor. Flashing...flipping...smiling...fist forming...yes...yes...yes. Relief rolling down my face... Read Full Entry

Tea and silk
Glad you checked this out Jools. By the way congratulations on your further exquisite doll conquest of the USA...not surprising when one sees your work. The dress of the second bride in my pics was also awesome. Silk anyone?

Must read :-D
Come home at 1 am after cinema with co workers, plan to hit the bed right away but find a new post from you, no sleep yet. Excellent as always, definitely worth not going to sleep for! Very fun to see the Travel Camel again, haven't seen any updates from him for a long time, good to know he's still in the thick of it. Dancers, camels and dangerously merry people all rolled up into one trip, impossible to not look forward to the next part!

I guess I've given it away that there are some super shots coming Per-Olof. I've gotta say I'm excited also. I'm so busy catching up on my work after a month away I have so little time...but hey..."the harder I work the better the holiday" I say....while considering the amount of travel you do I think your motto is "less work and more play." Watch this space!

Oi Oi Oi
So Dave, my favorite parts of this blog was EVERYTHING frigging thing! I love foreign films and I feel I just watched one! Life at home is boring now. Summer is over, put up the Halloween decorations for the kids, took them down (grumble grumble) and came in from the cold, poured a bevvie, and thought to log on to Travel Blog to see what mischief you were up to and there you were. Words that stuck with me are the following: Chatted to her for two hours...like wandering high in the Pamirs...while in my chair on a magic carpet ride...Travel is wonderful...the people we meet. (Well said Dancing Dave...well said. Cheers to you & Denise!) Keep on rockin'!

Always a delight to receive a comment from you Sal. Even though Armenia was after this part of the trip I blogged Armenia first for reasons set out then. But now I can proceed with a bit of savour and relive the Tajikistan ride and the stunning scenery to come. But will I be discrete? Who knows!!!

Tajikistan
How lucky are you that you are "The Traveller", Marcos. Pity you did not quite reach Tajikistan but it will be no surprise when you get here. In the meantime travel vicariously with me and enjoy the ride. The landscapes and people are stunning.

It's the people...
that make a trip pleasurable. Shane, David and MJ, and then the coincidental encounters.

It's the people...
With 5 Travelbloggers we were a united force with attitudes of 'unconditional' adventure. But you are right Bob, it's the people that make a trip pleasurable...or not.

One of the reasons I appreciate restoration of ancient places Lynne. When done well they return to some extent to their former glory.

Well, when are you going to...?
A music festival arranged by The Dancing One? Count me in! Could really feel the excitement in reading this one, could believe the fun you had chatting with new friends - and could see Denise shaking her head at your imaginative hearing! :-)

Well, when are you going to...?
Even the President smiling at us and the people we meet Jo...how could we not be excited at what lies ahead?
