Lantern Festival
Lantern Festival takes place 15 days after Chinese New Year. I cannot take credit for the awe or disgust you may experience when looking at these photos. Greg and Ajie can be given credit for their skills with the camera. Some of the photos are of the insertion of poles through body piercings. This self mutilation is performed to demonstrate strength and to ward off bad omens. Businesses pay lots of money to have these men parade through the street. This action blesses the business for the coming year.
