Let me start off by saying "WOW" what a weekend. I crammed about as much as possible into a weekend. I will start with our trip to Tainan. Tainan is the oldest city in Taiwan, it was where the Dutch settled years ago. So as you would expect there are many Western influenced buildings around the town. So Mare and I headed there on Saturday morning. I had a 3 hour train ride and she only had a 30min ride, so I was up early. A baseball game Taiwanese style. What can I say, I love baseball. Or a more appropriate sentence should be, I love baseball players. That’s more like it. Everyone knows this and I’m not ashamed to admit I go to baseball game solely for the enjoyment of cute boys in tight pants. So needless to say I was pumped for the Taiwanese baseball game. We were not sure what to expect when we arrived at the stadium. First of all we parked our scooter a mere 50m from the entrance. That would never happen back home. Secondly there was a beautiful gate as the entry. Just adding to its Taiwanese appeal. We checked out the vendors selling the normal baseballish things. Ray and I headed on another day trip this time to Tainan (the oldest city in Taiwan) for a little culture tour...I enjoyed it since i only had to travel 30 min, she on the other hand had a nice 3 hour ride but we had a good time so i think it was worth it!!! We had not been on a 'road trip' since neither of us had come to Taiwan, sooooooooooo we decided to rent a scooter and have one. Since the Goblin provides me with 125 cc of power, rach had no reservation on driving all day in the city---the power of the 125 compared to her 90 was a little thrill haha.
