Once Chinese New Year's Eve was over, it was time to head to the beach. We spent three days there. The plan was to surf and hike. The weather wasn't too great, but we did get a day of surfing in on Claire's birthday. Other than that, it was cool - literally and figuratively. Wednesday was Claire's birthday. It was cool. ...in Fangliao...I don't remember! It's the end of July and I'm just posting this! We were here to catch the super cool train to the east side of the island.

we're playing Oregon Trail on Steve's iPhone. Marvis keeps getting stolen by eagles, and Claire broke her leg and arm several times.

In Taitung we played a drinking game. One of the rules created was to 'drink like a cat'. Taitung is not too happening at night. A lovely city though.
