Thursday I headed to join my friends for a fun intertaining bbq weekend up north in Miaoli. Jason, Holly, and I got in Thursday night and joined Mike in his lovely town! We ate some dinner, checked out a local bar, and hung out with another foreigner named Paul. Friday Rachel and Muoy joined us. We headed to Carrefour later that afternoon to buy some groceries for the BBQ. We didn't know it would be total made ciaos. My god-it was like a kid in a candy store after an annoucement "EVERYTHING MUST GO! ALL CANDY $.01" It was nuts. After Holly and I picked some pretty delicious marinated meat and fresh veggies, Jason getting squid on a stick and Mike searching for seasoning and our cart filled with a case of Taiwan beer, we were gonna head for the check-out. As we were all going to have a nervous break down becuase of the amount of total hecticness and seeing the lines-we ditched the cart and headed out the door. Though Jason was nice enough to at least put some of the wrapped meat on the cool shelves-ha-dork! We all decided that going to Suting's (a bar in Miaoli)
that evening for BBQ would be less hectic and more enjoyable, all we had to do is show up and eat and drink, all the cooking and preparing was done for us! After many hours of laughing and Jack and Cokes, Beer, and many kinds off bbq (ed) meats we headed over to this dance/bar place. HOlly and Rach danced for us, while Me Mike Muoy and Jason kept the couches warm, I especially after deciding I needed a quick nap. The next morning I was informed of the many stir sticks I decided were neat enough to take home with me as a gift from Suting's, I proceeded to look into my purse and not only find one or two, but maybe five or six stir sticks. O well, the ended up in my drink, they ended up in my purse! [On Saturday we Left Miaoli Rachel Muoy and I headed down to Dajia. Us three being a little worn out from the funness of Friday night, just decided to relax, by getting food and watching movies. On our walk home from getting a dessert and coffee at the coffee shop we heard some Black Eyed Peas bumping
down the street. looking at eachother quite confused because Rach said she didnt have a dance club, we decided to venture down and see where the music was coming from. As we approached what was to be a stage for maybe some kids putting on a dance contest, nothing to unusal appeared, just a lady talking, us thinking maybe an auction. Well as another song started to blare from the speakers I turned around instinctivly and to my very eye I notice a pole and a girl in undies and a bra entering on the stage, who the proceedes to dance on the pole. We were all a little confused as to why a "ladies night" was happening in small town Dajia especially across from what looked like a place set up for prayer to the god's. hmmmmmmmmmmm...it was interesting. Sunday we got up, after we tried hard to pry ourselves away from watching the movie on TV and headed to the beach. That was an adventure in its own. Thinking we were cool and new the way to the beach aroudn the curvy road, we approached a gate/resort area that was going to charge us 350NT....well hello we didnt
want to see any sort of two headed goat (though maybe a little interesting) or fish in a tank, WE JUST WANTED THE BEACH AND WATER....so we headed off, WE WERE GOING TO FIND THE WAY TO THE FREE BEACH. After what seemed like miles, we finally felt defeated, after mnay curved roads leading no where, we headed back to the train station. Though not until a nice man stopped us in his scooter and asked what we were looking for. He pointed us in the direction- which we happened to be going the whole time- we just needed to go a few more steps- NEVER GIVE UP!!!! So we finally got to the beach and water. We had a good time in the water and being goofy on the sand. Heading back we thought we found a short cut to the train staiton because we sure werent about to walk all the way around the fence. Well once again we were defeated by a dead end. THough us being the smart girls that we are, we found a slit in the fence and went on through. We were also bad asses because we crossed the railroad tracks-yes that is
right-it is a very dangerous thing to do-but us being adults and looking both ways and takin the appropriate precautions when crossing tracks we headed to the other side of the street, where after a few blocks we reached the front gate and bought our ticket home. That night we went to the market by the college in Taichung and found a few eye candies-and had the best Mango slush, with Mango Ice Cream on top. After an exhuasting but entertaining weekend Muoy and I left Rach in Dajia and headed home on Monday.
Still with two more days of vaction--what's a girl supposed to do?!?!?

God I love you, you keep me young. I miss your sexy ass and our random shit! My life has been pretty boring, still holding on to Mike...if it keeps up you'll have to be in our wedding when they make it legal. Anyways, miss you, love you, want to visit! Me love you long time!!! Nick
