Planted by Japanese soldiers during WW2 to fool Allied pilots into thinking it was a field and they could land on it - with dire consequences. Now a real nuisance as it clogs tanks.

I remember doing that climb of over a 1000 steps to the top in the middle of day in the scotching heat and nearly passing out!!!!!!
