Hey!! well im finally catching up with the blogs i missed while i had no internet so i apologise for the delay!! The weekend before last I was asked by my co teacher mrs Jin if id like to go with her and her family on a day out to the Juwangsan naitonal park, which is still in gyeongbuk province but about 2 1/2 hours drive away, we set off early and arrived in time to hike up the river a little way untill picnice time! korean style!! although she knew id been suffering with all the spice so had prepared cheese and jam sandwiches just for me!! haha!! so sweet!!
we arrived and hiked up the paths which in korea are very well marked to say the least!! headed up to find the water falls, three main ones in total, was very hot but gorgeous views, entrance fees are minimal and you can camp if you wish at the entrance.
We went to all three falls which was about 4 hours i guess round trip, the views were stunning, you walked hanging platforms through some of the gorges, and the mountains towering above, many have historical meanings like the man
guarding over the gorge, you can spot him below!!
After the main park we headed to jusanji resevoir, which is the place you see on alot of the movies (mainly horror or fantasy) where the willow trees (so im told) grow out of the lake and the mist / fog sits around their base so they seem like theryre floating, unfortunatly it was a clear day so im gona go back, but the trees were still gorgeous!! 😊
we headed back then towards bongwha but stopped for the traditional korean meal, sat on the side road with a 'pot noodle' style korean fast food from the gas station!! was great!! haha!!
so that was my day! it was wonderful and reminded me why i was enduring the korean in bonghwa!! jus think i need that reminder again now!! two weeks later!! haha!! hopefully this week 😊 cos i have 5 days off so im planning on culture emersion with added english company! hopefully the perfect remedy!! fingers crossed any how!! oh and grandad the fish picture is jus for you!!! they were huuuuuge!!! you'd like one of them in your pond!!!
well time for the off!! hope your good! please
leave me comments!! and thanks for the tea bags grandad they are a life saver!! keeping me awake during class!!! 😊
miss you all, cant wait to hear from you
lots lots love cer xxxxx
