The father of my friend's friend runs a Japanese restaurant in Seoul. So after stuffing ourselves with bread at Dr. Fish, we headed back on the green line for the Seoul National University of Education, or the 교대 (Gyo Dae) station. The friend's instructions said exit 1 or 2. Very vague instructions. We took to the street asking passerbys if they knew where a 니와 (Ni Wa) was. We were directed to another Japanese restaurant, wandered around, asked a few more people and were just about to give up the fruitless search.. and we found it. Seriously. It turned out to be more of a bar than an actual restaurant. The shrimp tempura was great, the girls also ordered a dish that arrived on a skillet and smelled like the Takoyaki balls they sell on the street. The owner was really nice and even gave us a free salad.
