These are silk worm larvae, they are like candy. The are absolutley disgusting.
September 6: Dave and I went to Seoul to a palace where we saw the changing of the guard. It is very hot and humid here so i cant imagine how crappy it would be to be dressed up in all of the costumes with glue-on fake beards and stuff. David especially sticks out like a sore thumb, being a 6 foot 8 white guy. This makes us targets for many young korean girls who either want to take a picture of us or interview us for english class projects. We then went to a market where you could find just about any knock-off items you could find, such as Dolce and Gabanna belts, coach and louis vutton bags and wallets, all of them at "discount" or "best prices". The funniest items although are the t-shirts. For whatever reason, Koreans like to wear shirts with english words on them, most of them not making any sense at all. Dave, being a size XL and therefore is tough to find clothes, buys just about any shirt that will fit him. One of his more intersting purchases was a white t-shirt that he bought for 2500 won, or $2.50 cdn, that had a picture of a bicycle with the words "California mstoms". Now we are thinking it was supposed to be "california customs", but who knows. Other gems include "Jo's Ho's", and "save the earth, for the futher". I also saw a guy wearing a shirt that said " I like black girls with white knickers". O if only they all knew what they were wearing. After this we jumped back on the bus and headed back to Bundang, a suberb of Seoul, where dave's appartment is. The neat thing about korea is that everything starts very late at night. The city is kinda dead until about midnight, when everyone comes out. Restaruants, clubs, bars, and corner stores are all open till 4 or 5 AM. It isnt uncommen to see parents and kids going out for a bite to eat a 3AM. Then of course the place is a ghost town until about 1 Pm the next day.
