A SOMEWHAT MAP OF OUR TRAVELS:
http://www.travelblog.org/gmaps/map_37x.html

Well, we are finally home. We have travelled nearly 20,000 kms (these are air figures...remember we travelled mostly by bus) starting in KOREA, THAILAND, MALAYSIA, CAMBODIA, VIETNAM, LAOS and ending in KOREA. It was a great 4 months and we will remember this trip for a long time. We have over 1500 pictures and 10 hours of video to prove it. We met a lot of great people, some who we will keep in touch with and hopefully see again soon ( Vince, Alva if u r reading). We also met a lot of weird people. But most of all we met a lot of people from other cultures who have changed the way we think and feel about them. It truly has been a wonderful experience and we are lucky to have had this opportunity.

I have travelled to many different places now, learned a foreign language (well...getting there) and most importantly, met my wife. I have also learned and come to understand other cultures a little more and from this, they have earned more of my respect. And it is this part of our travelling that has inspired us to travel as much as we can and to start thinking about our next trip. Which by the way is one similar to my old roomie in Korea did. We want to spend a month in Nepal/China and then take the Trans Siberian Railroad from Beijing through Mongolia, across Russia into Europe. It will probably be a 3 month adventure and we don't know when or if we will do it. But it is in the works so... til then we will be in Korea doing our thing and hopefully see everyone soon.
