On April 11th of this year I boarded a coach bus mixed with Americans, Canadians and Koreans and headed North only about 65 miles to reach.....the DMZ! An entire self contained village even with their own currency. All transactions done in English. It is for tourists but also for Koreans to come and practice/test their English skills for fun or before going abroad. (oh yeah, it is literally right beside the DMZ)
