Hindu Statue
Crazy Murdering statue at a temple in little India We arrived! It's day two for us and it's really strange to us that in time we're so far ahead of home. Singapore is much different than I expected. Our flights were nuts. Traveling to Los Angeles was fine. We sat in LAX for six hours and we couldn't check in for our flight to Taipei until 9:30 at night. It wasn't until we were standing in line when we realized that we were supposed to pick up our bags and check them in with EVA airlines. So a race from terminals caused a bit of stress but US Airways saw that our final destination was Singapore and put a rush job on them. Which freaked us out even more when we finally arrived in Singapore and didn't see our bags come out on the conveyor belt. Everybody kind of laughed at us for our retard moments but luckily I have clean clothes! And soap! And Shampoo! I never thought a shower would feel so good.
We stayed in Little India our first night. Walked around. What a strange area we were in. Our hotel was at the northside of Little India and all around us were shops that sold
Lavander Food Center
Food mall that severs amazing food 24 hours a day lights/lamps, metal piping, car parts and toilets. Hmmm...
Everything is in English. It's so westernized here. There is a huge emphasis on speaking English. I even saw an ad on the side of a bus saying
Speak good English
. Its almost like we never left home. Its a blessing that its so easy for us here but I expected to be surrounded by a language I don't understand.
We did eat Muslim food this morning. Roti Prata. And even I liked it! Surprisingly.
We're staying in Chinatown tonight with our tour group and we spent the afternoon exploring it and the downtown area. Visited the Fountain of Wealth which we went around three times with our hands in the water for good wealth. I felt like the faster I went the more wealth and faster it would come to me. Nothing has happened so far.
Last night we went to Orchard road. And it was just like a giant mall. Designer name stores everywhere. These people love their malls. So many people. And everything is open so late. 24 hour food places! Yay! Our dream to finally eat dinner at ten at night if we want without it
Esplanade
Building that looks like the durian fruit(smelliest thing ever) being fastfood. Though we do have our Starbucks, McDonalds, Carls Junior, KFC, 711.... Blah, we'll be avoiding those.
Over and out.

Hi Guys! I can't believe you are so far from home. I'm so glad that everyone speaks English there, and that you got your luggage, and that you liked the food. Did you take these pictures? Well, be careful, I can't wait for your next update! Love, Mom
