After a brief layover at Perth for one night, we flew (very excitedly) to Singapore. After we had boarded, the plane was delayed for about an hour while they loaded eleven dogs (yes, dogs!) onto the cargo hold. As we were taxing down the runway we could just hear barking over the roar of the engines.
Upon arrival in Singapore we caught a transfer bus to our hotel which is 1 block from Raffles. We went into Raffles once and felt rather scruffy so abrupty left without sampling the famous Singapore Sling, maybe next time!
We spent a good few days exploring Singapore, eating lots of nice food and taking in the clean and very safe atmosphere. Guy had a treat on his birthday as there was a STAR WARS exhibition on in town which had lots of models, costumes and sketches from the films.
Sorry for the lack of updates, we're trying!
