I remember being gob-smacked by the size of the Toys 'R Us store in one of the many shopping malls in Singapore. And it rained a lot - a lady held an umbrella over my head when we were at a street crossing, so she could play with my hair.

Included a day trip to Johor Bahur (Malaysia) across a bridge from Singapore.

Around the year 2000, I discovered I had been stuck in a rutt. I was living the same day over and over again. At the time, it didn't occur to me that I was doing it from the comfort of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but I knew I needed to get out. The opportunity came up for me to accept a job in London, which I did, in August 2001.
