a) Singapore is on the equator. Every day is Hot and Humid.

c) The main lanuages spoken are Malay, English, Chinese and Indian
d) Their are ten pin bowling alleys, cinema halls and game arcades everywhere
e) The MRT is very relaible and anyone can use it easily. An EZ card allows you to swipe in and out of every station and bus. The card is topped up beforehand. No messing about with change.
f) Hawker centres are outdoors cafes/resturants that are everywhere in residential areas
g) Be prepare for strangers to sit next to you at Hawker centres as their is never enough seats. Makes for an interesting time.
h) Hold your nose walking past the bins next to Hawker centres. The smell is toxic.
i) Try to stay in the shade whenever you can. Use underpass and shopping malls to escape the heat whenever you get the chance.
j) Be careful what internet cafes you use. I used one the other day and ever since the ammount of Junk mail I get has almost doubled.
k) The goverment has started
a courtesy campaign. Expect some people to be too nice to you
l) Subway has conquered Singapore already. Its to late for here now.
m) Eleven is the Spar of Singapore
n) You can buy crunchies, malteasers, hershy's bars, dorito's and the rest of the junk your used to.
o) Moterbikes like to drive on the pavement.
p) Traffic lights take a long time to change. Expect to get sun burnt waiting.
q) Spiderman 3, Shrek3 and Pirates3 were released the same time as America to help combat piracy
r) Singapore tries to make their communites mixed. Each area must have a set percentage of Indians, chinese and Malay residents. If they buy their house, they can only sell to someone of the same ethnic background.
s) Carry your own chopsticks around. Trust me
t) Lots of people use Knifes and Forks for tradditonal chinese foods.
u) Geyland red right district is open 24hrs a day.
v) Finding a cheap hotel that isnt a brothel is difficult. Book at the airport or online to make sure. My hotel is respectable, but the buildings around it, is surrounded by $5 for 30mins signs
w) Always look and be aware when your
walking. People stop suddenly to look at the women hanging around, resulting in many collisions.
x) HBO is terrible
y) ESPN sports is in love with English football. No mention of Celtic winning the cup, but half an hour on stephen pearsons goal for Derby. Well done to the celtic reject anyway
z) I love Ice Tea. You can buy lemon, peach, mango, green tea, jasmine and blueberry. China also has it everywhere, but the choice of flavours here is far better. Its also very cheap compared to back home. Will miss my ice tea.
