Singapore

We arrived in Singapore a day earlier than originally planned. The hotel which i had booked from England before we left was really nice. It took us a while until we found the hotel/area where we had stayed five years previous. The river front is now really developed and trendy! With expensive restaurants and bars. I felt too under-dressed as a traveller!!!
Singapore was really busy as it was near the Chinese New Year. There were hundreds of colourful markets selling fire crackers and gifts. Unfortunetly we left just before the real festival began. But it was great to see the city in the new year lights. We didnt do to many tourist things in Singapore - just recouperating after our weeks of travelling and looking forward to oz. We spent most of our time walking around Orchard road the main shopping street in the city.
