Week 9 : Hiking Cette semaine, beaucoup moins de choses à vous raconter. Ayant eu pas mal de travail et souffrant vraiment de ma tendinite, j’ai un peu réduit le sport et augmenter la cadence boulot. Surtout, j’avais besoin de me reposer après le week end avec Lucie et de préparer mon départ à Palawan. Samedi, je suis quand même partie faire une randonnée dans les montagnes environnantes de Manille. En partant à 5h du mat, nous aurions dû arriver vers 7j mais notre jeepney étant tombé en panne, l’aller pris le double du temps. Nous avons donc commencé à grimper vers 9h sous un soleil de plomb. Vive la transpiration… Cette fois-ci, j’étais avec trois Philippins et deux Français, tous hyper sympas. Week Two This second week has been so much of a whirlwind that I have been putting off writing this blog- for lack of words, lack of explanation, Ive been racking my brain trying to figure out how to fit all ive seen into words. so i apologise if my ramblings do not make sence! When you arrive home from a trip such as this one (although no trips are alike) you tend to recieve the same kinds of questions. "what was it like?" "was it heaps different?" "what was hard?" Week one Today was officially the last day of week one. Probably one of the hardest, most challenging weeks of all my time overseas. I experianced something that i have never ever experianced before. Something that i usually shrug my shoulders at, pretend to understand and then repeat some form of a comforting cliche "naw dont worry.." etc. Homesickness. The Philipines, drew me in the moment i arrived, the bustling crowds, the hot sticky air that clings to you no matter how much you attempt to fan it away. I arrived at 2 am and yet there were full families lining up at the local Jollibee (takeaway) store for dinner.. or breakfast..
