In total we spent around 10 nights in El Nido. We did not need to stay that long but to be honest we opted for the cheapest flight back to Cebu which was over 2 weeks after arriving in Puerto Princessa. Initially we planned to visit Coron island but instead decided to spend more time in Port Barton (see previous blog) and El Nido with a few days at Puerto Princessa either side. Keeps getting better and better...
I loved that you woke up early for donuts! And I laughed out loud about the South African conversation that Chris had - not many people in remote parts of Asia believe that I'm Australian either, but ironically they'd guess that I was British or French based purely on the fact that most mixed race couples they see are from there. SO happy to read that you are considering going to India :)

Keeps getting better and better
Those donuts were especially nice, although I don't think they would do us much good if we carried on like that. We really endulged in them. Wow, never would have guessed people would have said England because they have met many mixed couples from the uk. But funnily enough, there is. Now they are going to have to add Australia to their list. Although I still don't think people will believe us. When we said England we always hear them say Africa. It will take time. Yes, very excited about India we are definitely going. Still need to do research but as we have just entered Hong Kong for China, we both have been taking on the challenge to learn some Mandarin in the past couple of weeks and its proving to be quite some cgallenge...?
