I’ve never been to tourist spots of Kidapawan before and I wanted to visit the place to check those things that can bring excitement and fun. It is good that we have a company activity in Kidapawan and Digos City on April 2-3, 2012. We started the travel from General Santos City at around 6 am on April 2,2012. There are 5 vans that were hired to transport us to different places. We passed on a rocky road. There were so much fun during the travel. The chit-chats and laughter of my officemates makes us ignore the bumpy ride. Our first tourist spot destination is the Lake Agco in Kidapawan City. We arrived at around 11 am. The place is mountainous and cold. It is also near Mount Apo, one of the places that hikers love ... read more

When I was still working for an airline company in the Philippines as a reservations agent, we were divided by teams composed of a supervisor and around fifteen agents. Each team had a privilege to have a team day at least once in a year. I belonged to a team that had been planning for so long for our team day but could not be realized due to several factors that affected our plan. But on the month of November the group decided to have our team day in December with an overnight stay in Davao City and a trip to Samal Island. Each one of us was so excited for the trip, most especially for those who had not been to Davao like me, yes this was my first time in Davao. Our day started ... read more

A little behind, but better late than never... WEEKLY UPDATE: Saturday: I tried Durian, a unique fruit known to many countries in SE Asia. It's one of a kind because of its strong smell and size. It can get pretty big (30cm/12in long and 15cm/6in in diameter) but the smell is like nothing I've ever smelt before! haha it's real intense! The taste...? Not for me. Sunday: Visited Davao's China Town - hung out with some of the local kids! Monday: Our adventure begins; we had a briefing in the morning, ate lunch and off we went. In two mini vans, we raced across Mindanao, and I mean raced: Our driver had a severe case of a lead foot!! We hit all the potholes known to mankind! Anyway, it took us about 5 hours to get ... read more

When I was in college night life is the life apart from nerve wracking exams. But lately most of my friends are having a detour. For all those who had been bored with the neon lights are now opting for greener scenery. Cigarette smokes to fresh air. So before I could even hit The Land of Promise, Davao City, for the most awaited vacation from school, I already had my plans laid down but silently hoping that I can fit Cebu and Bohol via Cagayan de Oro City, Seagull resort and Camp Sabros trips in 3 weeks time. But as they say, expect the unexpected, work gets in my way. So it was only Camp Sabros that survived on my list. Camp Sabros ( short for Sacdalan Brothers) is nestled in surrounding pine trees and cold ... read more

Historical Background The municipality of Sarangani in Davao del Sur is known both for its remoteness and beauty. It is composed of two main Islands, Sarangani and Balut, with the capital Mabila, located in Balut Island. Created in 1978 by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1550 issued by then President Ferdinand Marcos, the municipality lies south of the equator from 5°22’50” to 5°29’50” north latitude; and from 125°16’33” to 125°29’52” east longitude. The name Sarangani was given to the municipality as a compromise over the location of the capital in Balut Island. There are about 10 locally operated wooden-hulled boats plying the General Santos-Mabila route which can take up to 4-5 hours. In the smaller island, Sarangani, can be found long stretch of yet untapped white beaches which are made all the more beautiful by white ... read more
