ACCOMMODATIONS 1. Unless you can afford to stay at Shangri-la Mactan or Plantation Bay (which charge a minimum of P8K/night!) or go to the really nice but far beaches like Malapascua or Bantayan, you're better off staying at the city. The beaches in Mactan, after all, are just a 30-minute cab ride away. There is Marriott (around P4K/night) which is in the Central Business District and is adjacen... Read Full Entry

Devarana Spa
I highly recommend this small spa that has a very peaceful atmosphere with big comfortable recliner chairs for foot massages and about a dozen room for full body massage and body scrubs. The staff is well trained and I personally can attest that Alma is an exceptional masseuse. It is located at 282 Don Gil Garcia St. Capital Site, Cebu Tell Babylove at the desk that Alan sent you.

Casa Verde, Good Food, Terrible Service !
Took a date to the Casa Verde restaurant off Ramos a couple of nights ago. All during the meal one of the waiters just stared/glared at my date. It was close to the closing time of 10pm, so I asked for the bill. The glaring waiter brought the bill and I paid. A second waiter came by the table 5 minutes later and asked my date, in visayan, if i had paid already, and she told him that yes, I had already paid. The waiter then opened the little book that they use to give you the bill, saw that there was nothing inside, and then , speaking to my date in visayan, demanded to know why there was no tip inside, and called me cheap. I was not paying attention to the conversation, but could tell by the waiters face that it was not a pleasant conversation. My date told me later, after we had left the restaurant, exactly what the waiter had said to her. I always tip in the nicer restaurants, but I leave the tip as I am leaving the table. Am glad that this time I had not tipped already So, Casa Verde, good food, but at least 2 extremely rude waiters. Anyone know the name of the manager or owner ? I would like to politely explain to them what happened to us, probably would not help, but I do like to let people know what their employees are doing

Lechon Cebu
Yes its true. CNT Lechon serves the best lechon. Try also LechonCebu.com A very crunchy skin and so tender meat which absorbs the aromatic taste of various fragrant herbs and spices (lemongrass, anise, onions, garlic, etc) stuffed in the pig’s belly. Nothing beats the taste of Lechon Cebu.

The lechon is quite different from the lechon that can be seen in Luzon. You don’t need to have a sauce or gravy. So i highly recommend lechoncebu.com they are the best lechon I've ever taste.

Lechon cebu is the best talaga. Napaka sarap at crunchy ng balat. Mapapakanta ka sa sarap ng lechon cebu.

salon....
there's a salon in south of cebu (minglanilla) called SALON 'CIAO BELLA that really surprised me! I went there last year Dec. I thought i need a pampering moment after a whole day's drive from the south,I was stunned with their services,PRODUCTS and the epuipment they used...EVERYTHING IS AUSTRALIAN! After my holiday in the phils.I went back to australia and later found out(through research) that all products they used are ALL NATURAL-NO HARMFUL CHEMICALS! I will definately going back there this year!I RECOMMEND YOU CHECK IT OUT...IT'S WORTH IT!

Plantation Bay SUCKS
Plantation Bay is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I been all over the world. The main problem is the owner Manny G. an egotistical dictator that has all his employees and guests so afraid that they either do as he says or they quit or leave. The place is all fake. Fake sand. Fake beach. Fake rocks and fake hospitality. All the employees talk and their favorite subject is what an A hole the owner (Manny) is! I very highly do NOT recommend Plantation Bay in Cebu.

RESEARCH STUDY
Hi! I saw your Cebu Lechon post here in instagram and thought of messaging you. I am a student from University of San Jose-Recoletos here in Cebu City, Philippines. I am really sorry but I will be asking a favor from you. This is regarding our research study, "A Viability Audit of Lechon as a Destination Brand Association of Cebu” and our respondents are local and foreign tourists. Is it ok if you could spare some of your precious time to answer this online survey? I am really sorry for the bother, we just badly need it. This would greatly help us. If you happen to have other friends or acquaintances that you think who are willing to answer too, you may send them the link. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! :) Here is the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1i0fXFrBVdKjbmjh1Y-nKIzKrCATPGGbKEij2uHcujx0/viewform
