Day 1 - Day of liberation(somewhere early dec)

- i woke up in d wee hours with great anticipation... aaaaaahhh... liberation day is here, free as a birdie soon!!!
- arrived at d departure hall still ina daze n thats when i realised that.." when was the last time i woke up so early in d morning...."?
heheh.. nonetheless, checked in, "amber" along to d boarding gate n thats when a horrific sight greeted me there..
- a whole bunch or a BIG group of students in similar tees were there at the gate!!! it could be like 40+ of them including their nannies.. opps .. i meant teachers .. hehehe..
- i was getting concerned.. if they r going there to do some sightseeing in kat valley or if the education board decided to introduce these
city, spoilt , hygenic kids to 3rd world living conditions n get their butts kicked.....its okay for me(kekee).. but i m hoping that they r not going trekking n please not the area i m going.
-my pea brain early morning processing speed @512k is trying to digest the figures n its implications.. hmmm.. let c .. 40+ kids, 1porter to 2 kids, hmm.+ teachers n minders.. + wet mummy( heheee).. + guides... "OMG!!! @#!* s%*& this shit!!" 60+!!! they will flood the lodges, the village.. n i will b last in line for everything.. for food, going to d toilet.. n there will b no serenity on d trail!! "I WILL B F*@$^%&!!!" hehehe..... i was "anal" abt it at this point...
- After a kind chat with their headmaster that ive discovered that they r heading to d AC n not the khumbu area.. At this most important juncture... i swear that i heaved a BIG sigh of relief thru my A@^... =D hehee


Days 2 &3 - Home sweet thamel

- The "new nepal" under the new maoist govt is anything n everything but not "commie" hehhe
- Thamel especially, the economic forces of market demand n supply is still alive n kicking... n the "street vendors" definitely not your average maoist comrade.. heheheee.. their modus operadi is the same way like days of yore... for example...
"Excuse me , sir, u wanna HARSH? POT? MARIJUANA?" or "Excuse me sir, u wanna massage? girls? " or "Excuse me sir, u from Spore? u wanna CHEWING GUM?????" hehehe...
- In fact, i was asked so many times about harsh n pot that at one point i retorted.. " HARSH? what? i look like some kindda DRUGGIE HIPPIE to U????? " =P it was in a good fun way.. hehe
- n i was so bothered about it that i take a good look at myself in d mirror once i reached d hotel.. i took a pic n instantly i was enlightened, like ina state of nirvana ,that Y this dude was such a PRIME candidate for.. "HARSH? POT? OR MARIJUANA?"" heheh!!!
- spend the rest of my time arranging my trip n getting gear.
- Thamel is still the good old self as i knew, dusty as ever, polluted as ever, incessant n unneccessary honking by motorists.. anything but
of clear, clean n crisp air as "virgin travellers" would expect.. but beneath this small , polluted n chaotic valley, there'sa kindda mystical charm n orderliness beneath its polluted veil that draws trekkers n visitors to this land over n over again.(n it has taught me a lesson too..never judge a person, a book, an event nor a place by its appearance, unveil the outer shell n the inner self will standout. )
-In fact, nepal has got the highest number of repeat visitors in the world... me included... hmmm.. n a friend too... hmmm .. n some friends too.. =)


Day 4 - bus to jiri

- nothing eventful on this 8 hour public bus ride. met this nice canadian couple from ontario, Ruth n AG,who is on this 1-2years tour of asia.. doing the same route till namche n after that they head to EBC while i head to gokyo. in fact we will spend many days ahead trekking together..
- the only other entry for this day is..." MY ASS IS MADE OF STEEL AFTER THIS 8 HR BUS RIDE!!!1" heheeehhee
- spend the nite @ jiri... cant wait to trek tomolo!!! =D
