1: After-lunch March 60 secs
The communist influences of the Maoists are noticeable in the after-lunch march that the school children must follow to their classes. The school is called Emerald English School. It is private, but is also providing a free education to about 70 of the few hundred students. Since monday and for my two remaining weeks in Chapagaun, I am teaching Science to classes 3, 5, and 7 (6-13 year olds) in the afternoons when the health clinic is regularly void of patients. So far, it's been mostly biology and ecology, but tomorrow, class 5 starts physics.
