So because village life consists of no clubs or restaurants, or movie theaters or concert halls, one is left to indulge in self-taught arts. By no means are the peasants here uncivilized. In the immense amount of village free-time, they chase away boredom by becoming scholars among personal libraries, master architects of hand-carved furniture, or multi-instrumental improvisationalists. And if they are given the priveledge, 6 year old kids will surprise you with how skilled they are at chess and ping-pong.
