Mountain village, Nepal
We trekked for five hours to cover the seven kilometres from Dingboche to Lobuche (4900m). I spent much of the time with music up loud & at the back of the pack, as my blisters are now making it difficult to even walk a decent pace on the flats! I arrived at the teahouse absolutely spent, but didn't get changed, as I knew another acclimatisation walk was in order. We warmed up a little, then took a half hour walk straight up the hill behind the teahouse. It's becoming increasingly difficult to breathe the higher up we go & while Ben, Janet, Sam & I headed back down, the rest of the group continued on for another half hour or so. The wind was excruciatingly cold & I was happy to have gone up just high enough to help with acclimatisation. Wore my down jacket for the first time today, so it's definately getting colder the higher we get.
