hello everyone, its kim.
so this is our last entry for a few weeks because we will be trekking and without internet. We have been here in pokhara for a few days after a 7 hr bus ride from kathmandu ( the plane is 25min!!) . It is a lake town, which is a nice get away from the city, but mainly just a stop for everyone before they hed to the mts. We have been sick for a little bit, so we havent done too much , but nonetheless we took pictures. Some of the things that stand out in my mind about nepal are ; babies and toddlers wearing tonnes of black eyeliner, cows everywhere eating garbadge and cardboard, everyone drinks milk tea all the time ( your favorite jill!!) which is delicious, its similiar to chai tea, when people nod yes or in approval they shake their head to the side and shrug their shoullders, which to us means "ya okay whatever sure maybe" .... you know ? so at first when people were saying yes to whatever we were asking i thought maybe the situation was wierd or odd...but really they were just saying yes. boys and

the best day we had here was renting a boat and hanging out on the lake and swimming for a few hours
men hold hands and walk and sit arm and arm, which is totally plutonic. the jewellery and jewellery makers here are some of the best in the world. toilets are the kind you have to put yourself in your happy place, squat, hold your breath, andpray you brought your own toilet paper ( and think about how many times that happens a day ) oh and one last thing there are dogs EVERYWHERE and they are the ugliest, mangiest wild dogs. they sleep all day and bark and fight all night, alot of them have large hairless patches like they are going bald, nobody pets them and westerners walk far around them . i dont think i have seen one cat, now that i think about it . anyways thanks for checking and commenting on our blog everyone, we love it!

sometimes things are made by hand in nepal and you can be lucky enough to see the artist in action, other times you think it could just be knickknacks from china

Hi!! =-)
Wow, I have to say there is definitely a part of me that envies you two. I'm glad you are having a good time and so far you are doing well! I wish we could have been there to see you guys off. Ethan is going to be so big when you get back! We will have to come and visit after you return. Well, happy travels. I am praying for you guys! Love, Allison P.S. Bob, I see Kim has her Vanity Fair, and it was probably a little difficult to get it. I would suggest you not throw it out the window, or it is going to be a very loooooong rest of the trip! ;-)
