Buddah's birthplace, Lumbini, Nepal
Met at 5am in the lobby to spend almost eight hours in the 4WD's to the Nepal border. Managed to obtain the free thirty day visa with no problems this time; I double checked the expiry date carefully though. Unforunately, Hannahs Indian visa had been incorrectly dated & she had to return to immigration. We all took the opportunity to relax with a beer, something we've been unable to drink much of on this trip. All formalities complete, we boarded a bus & headed to Lumbini.

After lunch & a short rest, the group reconvened & walked down the road to see the birthplace of Buddha. The tour was cut short as it was closing time, but we saw the actual spot where he was born; minus the tree of course. More beers were had with dinner & yet another early night; we were all shagged from such a long day of travel. Being in a new country, Hannah decided to spice up the accommodation arrangements & so my room mate for the night was Holly.
