Got the bus to Penang National park. It was quite a long journey but it went quickly. I had just started my walk to Turtle Beach when a guy caught up with me, Mustafa, the park ranger! He had to do a routine check of the trail so walked with me and so I ended up getting a tour of the park with a very knowledgable guide! He knew everything and was pointing out all sorts of stuff I would of missed! We got to turtle beach and I went to look at the sanctuary ... They had some newly hatched turtles that were 2 days old- so cute! I chilled on the beach for a bit- Mustafa lent me his slingshot to practice flicking rocks at trees haha I wasn't very good! Then we went back, past the meromictic lake- a fresh and saltwater lake! Which was cool. On the way back I saw monkeys and a huge lizard! Then I got the bus to Ferringhi beach which was nice and sat there for a bit- where I chatted with a mum and her son. Then I went to hard rock for dinner before getting the bus back to town.
The next day was an in between day! I left to get my boat to Langkawi. The boat was at two- nice and in the middle of the day haha the journey was alright and I checked into Typsy Gypsy hostel. I met a nice Thai/Swedish girl there called Aumarin. We went to the night market, got dinner and had a look around, was fun.
The next morning I hired a car. I went to the Langkawi cable car. Driving was easy as there is about two roads on the island. In the queue for the car you went in the 'skydome' which was a weird pretend rollercoaster, was fun though. The cable car was good with amazing views!! It had two tiers so I went to both before going on the sky bridge which was suspended over the rainforest. Next I drove to Temursn waterfall, I was stuck in my car for a bit as monkeys climbed on my car but once they left I went to look. Turned out it was 'dry' because of the season so I drove to black sand beach which had.... Black sand! It was cool so I walked along that and then drove
to durian perangin waterfall- which had water! Then after chilling there I drive back and went into town for dinner. When I got back I chatted with Zac and Karolina in my room. We ended up having some drinks ... More and more people joined us so at 1 we ended up going out to 'one love' and 'sun bar'. It was a really good night and some Indian girl from our room was celebrating her hen night! We got back about 5!
The next day was a write off! Karolina and I went to McDonald's and sat there for about 3 hours. Then we went back and chilled before getting dinner-an active day!
Woke up early and took my car back- it cost £6 for quarter of a tank of petrol! I packed, checked out and went for breakfast. I got chatting to an old couple who had been travelling on their boat on and off for the last 9 years- it sounded amazing!! Then I went to the beach and walked along it- it was too hot to sunbathe. I got a massage then had lunch before my transfer to the dock at 4.30. Then I had a
2 hour boat journey before my overnight coach to kuala perils.
When I got off the bus I saw two German boys (danielson and Andre) who had been at Typsy gypsy so I got chatting to them. We got our taxi to the dock then the boat of to Perhentian Kecil island. (16 hours after I left! ) we went to look for a hostel and got a room together. Then we spent the day on the beach it was absolutely boiling! I had to lie in the shade it was crazy hot. In the evening we got dinner and then went to a bar- it started pouring with rain so we were stuck there for a few hours which was fun!
The next morning we got breakfast and chilled before having a nap haha then we went snorkelling in Coral Bay. At first it wasn't great then we got to a really cool reef with loads to see! When we got back we got ready and went to Ombak restaurant - it was a little more expensive but I had really nice vegetable rice and cheesy naan bread! Then they had lion king 2 on in their outdoor cinema.
We watched that before going to the other beach where we bumped into Sam and Sophie (2 Brits we keep seeing everywhere!) so we hung out with them and watched a fire show. A nice Argentinian girl joined us and we chilled and chatted.
