We made it!!!!

So our second day was spent at the Singapore zoo which we both agreed was the best zoo we have ever been to as none of the animals are behind bars... Except the poor polar bear which at first we thought may be dead in the 36 degree heat...

We both decided it was time to leave Singapore as we couldn't book anymore nights because of the f1 which I was gutted about (I think Elise was pretty happy to leave for this reason)

We left an hour and a half to get to the train station for our train to Kuala Lumpur which at the time we thought was more than enough, turned out it wasn't. We had to run through all of the security to make the train in time knowing there were no more trains until at least Tuesday (this was Friday afternoon) luckily the security was pretty quick and we made it with 5 minutes to spare!! As you will see from our photos the train was pretty basic and smelt so bad we didn't think we could last 7 hours!

We finally arrived at Kuala Lumpur station where Jim and Deb picked us up - for those of you who dont know that's my dad's cousin and his wife! They took us back to their condo which is probably the nicest place we will stay on our entire trip!

The first day in KL was much similar to Singapore - another city.

For anyone who is looking to travel Malaysia we would definitely give this one a miss as it's not to different from walking around London just a lot smaller and hotter!!
We are spending our last night in the traders hotel sky bar which is probably the highlight of our trip so far!! You can see why from the photos 😊 😊

Tomorrow were heading to the perhentian islands can't wait to begin our trip fending for ourselves!

Lots of love
Jack & Elise

How's it going?
Hi Jack, Elise. Glad to see you arrived ok and have settled into the road life. Jack, I cant believe you did not stay in SNG for the GP !. Still needs must so I guess the train was calling you. How are you finding the food delights of Asia?. Had anything odd yet ?. . When I was in Hong Kong I had a desert in a restaurant once and the only way I can describe it was that it was like someone had swept up pebbles outside put them in a bowl poured on sugar water and added some dodgy fruit to it. It was grim but I had to say it was ok as it was specially ordered for me. They also gave me tea and when I looked in the tea pot at had a massive flower in it. Could not see a tea leaf or a tea bag.I think someone must have been taking the p155 out of the European man. Look after each other and keep the blogs coming Al x
