Asia trip part 1

Na wat strubbelingen eindelijk in Kuala Lumpur, 12 uur vliegen is zwaar maar viel achteraf reuze mee. Pa heeft af en toe nog even kunnen slapen maar ik heb, zoals gewoonlijk, geen oog dichtgedaan.
Kuala Lumpur Hotel Le Meridien. Een super hotel op een super locatie. We hebben de kamer “ge upgrade” gekregen naar een suite. Op de 28e etage een fantastisch uitzicht over deze metropool.
Met de Hop-on Hop-off bus door Kuala Lumpur is een geweldige ervaring. Vele mooie gelegenheden om uit te stappen en de stad nader te onderzoeken.
Zoals Pa al zei;”deze reis zal vol verassingen zitten” halen we de vlucht naar Manilla niet omdat het hotel verzuimd ons te wekker! De manager bemoeit er zich ’s morgens mee en wij krijgen een gratis vlucht naar Manilla die middag met Malaysia Airlines. Een limousine met chauffeur (inclusief pet en kostuum) brengt ons op tijd naar KLIA, het vliegveld van Kuala Lumpur. Op naar de Filippijnen!

After some small trouble we finally reached Kuala Lumpur, a 12 hour flight is stressfull but in the end it went ok. Dad did manage to get a little sleep but I did not for a moment, as usual.
The Kuala Lumpur Hotel Le Meridien. A super hotel in a super location (Twin to the Hilton). Our room was upgraded to a suite. On the 28th floor there is a spectacular sight of the city’s skyline. The “hop-on Hop-off” bus tour around Kuala Lumpur is a magnificent experience. Many worthwhile stops to investigate.
As dad already made the remark:”this trip will be full of surprises” missing our Air Asia flight to Manila was a nasty one, the Hoteldesk lacked giving us a wake-up call as we requested! As the hotel manager took our “sad case” under his wing he gave us a free ticket that afternoon to Manila with Malaysian Airlines. A limousine plus driver (with uniform and hat) took us to KLIA on time. Next stop the Philippines.
