Singapore to KL
Corry summed it up, Adelaide could learn a lot from Singapore. We got up too early, but I think that was better, would have been tight for time otherwise. Got to the train station and got tickets to Kuala Lumpur, only first class left (blew the budget there). The cornflake club had Rice cooked in coconut milk, with egg, chicken, and a chili peanut sauce, and some fried meat pastries and curry puff. So much for not eating local breakfast. Harry ate his and anyone else’s he could get. The train ride was good. Lots to see, from jungle through to plantations of banana, coconut, palm and fruits of various types. The architecture, for want of a better word, is pretty average, they need to improve the zinc coating on corrugated iron at least. The country is really pretty.
Into KL no problems. The kids loved the Chinatown markets. Bought a few things, and looked at everything over and over. After Singapore, it’s really dirty smoggy city. Found a fabulous little restaurant. They cook on the side of the footpath with tables everywhere, the chef put on quite a show. He had this massive wok burner, and his skill was something

worth watching. First time for frog, it was stir fried with chili and vegetable, was pretty good. Always order one dish too many, then walked back though the markets.
