Melaka
Christ Church Melaka Reaching Kuala Lumpur late evening, we could hardly find a place to sleep at Summer Guesthouse at Bintang Area (most popular , heart of the city ). We were sharing the bath, the first time in our trips.
We enjoyed the dinners at open pavement restaurans. We visited Batu Caves of Hindu Society which is about 10% of Malaysia. We climed up to KL Tower and spent sometime at Chinatown. The next and the last day we intended to go Cameron Highlands but it was too far so we took a city tour by HOP ON HOP OFF BUS. This tour bus ticket is RM 38 each, valid for 24 hours. You may drop of at any stop point and take the next bus in half an hour. By this way we visited National Palace, National Museum, Lake Gardens,Merdeka Square, Titiwangsa Lake Garden, Petronas Twin Towers and Bintang Walk.
The next morning we employed a bus to Melaka. It took about two hours.
We found a four star hotel, Hall Mark Hotel ( RM80 per night incl. Breakfast and free wi-fi) ) at Chinatown.
Melaka is a peaceful and beautiful World Herritage City from
KL
Petronas Towers Portugese, Dutch and British India with Malay and China influence. Once there were spoken 60 languages at the area. At this town we happened to see two hundred million years old dinasour eggs. We visited the night market which open only Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Jonker Walk, Chinatown. We took a river cruise on Melaka River and have our last seafood diner (delicious) at Portugese Square on the coast.
Tomorrow early in the morning we are going to Singapure by bus. It will take about four hours because of the customs formalities. A new friend from Ankara, Ferah Meral will join us as fifth at Singapure.
Take care until our next blog entry.
