Bag-tastic
Bry getting excited in the handbag shop Bry speaking: Had a funny experience at the hotel this morning. We'd booked it via a last minute bargain site, as we've been doing for the big cities as there are great deals to be had at some pretty flash hotels. Anyway, all was well, we checked in got our key-card and made our way to the 15th floor... only to find our allocated room already occupied. Gave the poor lasy a bit of a fright I'm sure. Not sure if it was a member of staff being a bit cheeky or a muck up at front desk; either way I think someone is in for a stern talking to.
After a quick catch-up on the sleep front we hit the mall, caught up on our internet admin and then I went on a handbag spending frenzy. I think I've got a bag for my nearest and dearest girly mates... so you lucky ladies (you know who you are) have a bag on its way. Just hope I've judged people's taste well. Pretty sure they're as fake as Pamela Anderson's frontage, but they're funky all the same. The shop assisitants were a bit taken aback at the purchasing of 11
handbags in one go! But hey... when in Rome, oops I mean Kuala Lumpur!
Tom speaking: Next day did yet more shopping but in the more expensive Suria Mall, right underneath the Petronas Towers. Had an interesting experience in the railway station later when we were waiting for the train to Singapore - I couldn't find a beer anywhere. When you need a beer you need a beer, so I walked 5mins to the 7-11 and bought a clutch of Tigers there. Suspected that maybe the station had a no-booze policy so thought it prudent to drink them covered up with a sock while we waited... (hence photo)
