12 years have passed since I first stepped into Kuala Lumpur with K and SZ. Even though we had since lost touch with one another after all these years, the 1-week trip was inspiring and helped to cultivate what became known as my life-long hobby of travelling, backpacking and more recently travel blogging.
Certain things in KL remained unchanged after all these years. The bustling food stalls along Jalan Alor, the 24-hour KFC in Bukit Bintang where we had our first meal after an overnight bus journey and the ugly green façade of Lot 10 Shopping Mall were still surviving since my first visit in November 1998.
I’m always happy to return to KL and relive those fond memories even though this was going to be my 6th time. This was mum and dad’s maiden flight for their holidays. I could tell that they enjoyed the 35 minutes experience to the Malaysian capital even though the turbulence did cause some commotion among them on board.
All in all, a comfortable
weekend stay for everybody present for this trip.
