I am passionate about wildlife. One of the best experiences I ever had was when I visited the National Elephant Conservation Centre at Kuala Gandah. They are such beautiful animals, being rescued and cared for by some of the most passionate wildlife people I have ever met. It is well worth a visit. Friends made their own way there but we went on a tour which suited us much better. We had plenty of time there to learn about the plight of the elephants and to enjoy being so close to them. If you have a day to spare, try taking this tour https://www.viator.com/tours/Kuala-Lumpur/Private-Tour-Elephant-Orphanage-Sanctuary-Day-Tour-from-Kuala-Lumpur/d335-3705KUL25 We were fortunate enough to be able to get into the river with a baby elephant which was the most memorable part of the whole trip.
