Ok so since the last time a lot has happened…..
Best place to start is the beginning…. Ha Ha Ha
Before we left Koh Phangan we had a great day out, it started with hiring a scooter in the morning, no helmets provided, and our safety clothing was shorts, T-shirt and sandals, really safe. So we set off to find a waterfall, after the disappointment of the first waterfall we visited in Chiang Rai. Everything was going fine, even though the roads were the most winding and steep we’ve ever seen. The road to the waterfall is also called “the most dangerous road ever built in Thailand” that’s what the locals say anyway… and you can trust them on that. Basically the road turned from being tarmac to concrete to sand!!! And even steeper and Jamie went over the handle bars going down a steep hill, luckily I got off the bike before attempting the slope. The injuries looked worse than they actually were… a few scratches only! But quite a bit damage on the bike.. never mind, that can be fixed. Anyway, we left the bike and set off walking to find the waterfall which was supposed to be 4
km away. Well, as usual we walked and walked and walked and walked, never really listening to our instinct and turning back. We crossed jungles and what not, eventually after a 5 hour trek we found it… and what a waterfall it was. Not quite a shower dribble like the last disappointment but more of just a set of rapids….not a waterfall at all. The rapids ended at a pleasant secluded beach, unfortunately there was no way home….and no chance we could walk back to the bike…so we waited and luckily enough a long boat passed by and picked us up and took us back to the main beach. Then I (Jamie) had to get a taxi back to where the bike was, the taxi driver would not take his 4x4 onto the sand road, so he left, I had to walk in to the jungle…alone…at dusk…probably one of the most scary things I’ve ever done, but I done it!!!
Kind of left the island the next day and traveled for about 2 days non stop and finally arrived in the Marvelous Malaysia. We stopped in Georgetown on this island called Penang and we loved it. We loved it
so much, we got another bike out… twice! Ha ha ha… and we’ve seen lots, even another waterfall. There is a really big shopping centre there as well which we spent far too much time in, but it was air conditioned. And if you believe or not… we went to the pictures and were actually really cold in there (Mission Impossible 3, we recommend it). We took in all the tourist sites on the island and even got up EARLY on a Sunday morning to go to church… at St. George’s.
After a week or so we left Georgetown to cool off in the Cameron highlands. And dear God have we cooled off… it’s like being back home…..nearly
Its warm on the morning and then it just rains non stop from exactly 2 o clock… and it gets so cold on a night but its beautiful here… we went on a proper little jungle trip ourselves yesterday. It was great fun, proper mountain climbing, playing in mud and when we finally got to the top of the mountain which is over 2000m above sea level it was so cloudy we couldn’t even bloody see anything.
On our
way down the mountain we stopped off at lots of little markets and farms. They do love their strawberries over here, but they love their tea even more. The tea plantations are unreal, we visited a tea factory today then had a lovely cup of tea and some scones with strawberry jam on. It was yummy!!!!
There is something really comfortable about being in Malaysia, we think it’s the British influence that is so obvious everywhere.
Anyway, goodbye, auf wiedersehen, until the next time.... bis zum naechsten mal!

Hi Frauke! Schöne Grüße an Jamie. Hab dich lieb!!! :-))
