Trousers. And socks. Did I still have them in my backpack? I certainly couldn't recall having seen them in several months. Fortunately I did because here in the Cameron Highlands you sure as hell need them. Quite simply it is Scotland both in terms of scenary and temperature. What a refreshing change it made from 4 months of ultra hot weather.

Botanists would have been in their element as the highlight of a trip to the Camerons is walking in the mossy forests and exploring the thousands of varieties of plant that aren't found elsewhere in Malaysia. It's still interesting even if you're not green fingered!

Fathers Place guesthouse was where I stayed and what a great place it was too. A comfortable sitting area with dvd's on a big screen, free interent and a decent restaurant made the evenings relaxing. The rooms were fine too but could really have done with a radiator!
