Edit Blog Post
I will be uploading all my Melaka photos when I get back to KL. less a few. These few in question are the ones from my iPod. Yesterday at 4pm whilst I was sat at the back door of the guesthouse which is directly on the river is guy stole my iPod. Snatched right from my hand. As this is a public site and blog I won't swear but take it as a warning to be careful of your valuables, thieves are operating in the area and this is not just here of course.
Anyway before all that happened I went out in the morning to the 2 malls, really just to get of of this humidity. I have never sweated so much!
I'm going back there today to get a haircut, the first in south east Asia, I should be nervous but im sure it'll all be fine. People over here seem to have nice hair.
The lady who owns the guesthouse arranged for me to get to the tourist police station with a translator and so I filed a report. Not that I'm expecting him to be caught or to get my iPod back. There was
CCTV at the guesthouse so we are going to look over it for the police to see if we can get an image of the guy.
Anyway it's been replaced now and I know not to sit outside with it. It was a dent to my wallet but no harm done and I'm perfectly fine. It's one of those things. I still like it here in Melaka despite him.
I think it's going to be an extremely hot one today as it rained 1st thing, I have come to learn that rain in the morning means a super hot day, rain in an evening cools the air.
I'm sorry that there is little to blog whilst here in Melaka but it is a small place set around either the river or Dutch square(red square)
Malacca, "The Historic State" is the third smallest Malaysian state. It is located in the southern region. It has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since July 2008
Every night the street come alive with light, some are closed off for the weekend markets and the river is cruised
along by many on tourist boats. .
Portuguese Malacca was the territory that, for 130 years (1511–1641), was a Portuguese colony. Some locals still speak Portuguese today.
Love to all... Off for my haircut
