Langkawi draws to an end!!

After our meal at the Irish bar, we both crashed out at around 9:30 for me, Andy and 10:30 for Mel...................................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

11:00am the next day after about 13 hours kip we awoke. I, Andy slept like a log!!!
We had a bit of lunch, then had an hour on the internet intending to do some research for Thailand as there as been floods up north, as you may have heard, so we are trying to avoid any adverse weather.
I, Andy started to feel rough (with a headache) so we went back to our room where I stayed until the next day. As usual Mel looked after me very well. I had some paracetamol and a re hydrating salt. Mel brought me supper in bed (a pot noodle). I slept on and off until the next day. Mel had a brief walk around and saw a beautiful sunset.

Now it is Tuesday (after a lot of thought) I am feeling a lot better!! We were due to go to Satun in Thailand this morning and then the city of Hat Yai (where we are going to do a little shopping and get our transport to another paradise island) but we woke to a massive downpour and thunder and didn't fancy the boat much in that, so we will do the trip tomorrow! As we have run out of cash and the nearest bank is at the airport, a taxi ride away we have used our first emergency travellers cheque from the money that Bob and Kathleen gave us, so again, another thankyou!!!!!!

Our plans for the rest of the day are to relax and get some info for Thailand as we are in the internet cafe. This internet cafe is great! It's the cheapest here and they bring out cold flannels, sweets and they have just brought us a drink and snacks!
WE ARE GOING TO THAILAND TOMORROW!! Should anything exiting happen today, we will let you know on our next installment.

A little note- A lot of backpackers don't seem to come to Langkawi as it is more touristy than a lot of other islands and more developed, but it is really pretty and definately worth a look, the cable car is impressive!!

Not long now
What a fantastic set of blogs, you really did have a great time with Nisha and David and you seemed so upset to see them go I could almost feel it in your blog. But it's not that long now before we can get back to moaning at each other (only joking), but I really am looking forward to meeting you at the airport for a big hug!!! Although I guess you'll be a bit dissapointed at your trip ending. Well keep on keeping on and stay safe, lots of love
