Erica and I got up late this morning and had a mad rush getting all our stuff together before we got picked up, however we needn't have bothered as our taxi was an hour late.
Justin took a really funny video of us on the bus, Erica, Rich, Dan and myself all fast asleep, he then puts the camera on himself calling us weak, despite the fact that he never stays up late recently, cheeky!
We arrived in Langkawi at around 4pm and booked our accommodation at the travel desk at the ferry port, we decided to stay on the west coast as we heard that it had the best beaches. In the taxi on the way there Dan was sick and we had to pull over, he blames the chicken he ate at Satun pier. Our bungalows are right on the beach, which is beautiful. Our accommodation is basic, but the location is fantastic!
Needless to say he stayed in that night whilst the rest of us had a lovely meal at an Irish pub (we love western food right now!) before having a drink in a bar on the beach. We returned to our bungalows at
a reasonable time and played several games of cards. Dan even made it out of bed to join in with a couple before we all hit the sack.
On Thursday Dan was feeling better today so we hired motorbikes and checked out the north of the Island. We stopped off at KFC for lunch (I know) then headed to the cable car, the first platform was 695 meters high. Justin was messing around doing flying kicks when some money fell out of his pockets and plummeted over the edge and down the mountain, serves him right for being a show off! The top levels were 705 meters and 710 meters, the views were amazing despite being misty.
At the bottom of the cable car was a small shopping complex and I got myself a purchase. Bought a digital camera and underwater casing, so I should be able to get some awesome pictures of my future dives.
We then headed to Seven Wells Waterfall, we were hoping it would have a lagoon for us all to swim, as it was a really hot day, unfortunately we were disappointed. Justin thought that he saw a snake but when

At the top of the cable car, 710 metres up. I explored all I could see was a couple of small fish.
We then made our way to Tanjing Rhu Beach were we all managed to go swimming, that is except Justin, I think he is scared of getting his hair wet!
On the way home we stopped at the airport for Rich and Dan to sort out their flights, but neither of them succeeded!
In the evening we all ate at the Irish bar, afterwards Justin went home as he wasn't feeling well whilst the rest of us went to the reggae bar for a couple before returning to our bungalows for a few games of cards. Dan even made it out of bed for the few games before we all hit the sack.
On Friday Erica and I chilled on the beach, Justin spent the day in bed as he still wasn't well. Rich and Dan went back to the airport to try and sort out their flights again. Dan booked a flight for himself and Justin to Kuala Lumpur for the following day whilst Rich was still in Limbo. He wanted to change his flight so that he can travel the rest of Malaysia with us.
They joined us on the beach later and the four of us decided to hire jet skis, I was a little nervous at first but once I was off I loved it. They move pretty fast, it was awesome and I will definitely be doing this again.
In the evening we went for a lovely meal at a German restaurant to celebrate the wonderful time we have had as a group. Justin went home after his meal as he was still poorly sick, whilst the rest of us headed to the reggae bar. It had a Malaysian band on that played some popular songs, all in reggae style (whether they were originally reggae or not), which was quite good. The bar was a lot busier than the night before and we were lucky we arrived when we did as we would have struggled to get a seat. On the way home we had a midnight swim, the water was really still and quite warm, the perfect way to end the evening.
On Saturday we got up early to say good-bye to Justin and Dan, Erica and I shed a tear as we have been traveling with them for the past five weeks and we have become really close friends. We were glad that Rich stayed on with us as he cheered us up with his constant comedy.
We decided to stay an extra night and travel to Penang the following day, It was Rich's idea as he hadn't spent any time on the beach. It turned out to be a really good idea as we were all a little rough after the previous nights drinking.
In the evening we went to the Irish bar again to watch the football before having a relatively early and quiet night.
