We arrived in the capital city of Laos after travelling through spectacular mountain scenery. The views were breathtaking! Vientiane is wonderful it has the feel of a city with a town like friendliness. Everyone is mellow, calm its probably due to the old temples, monks and beautiful sunny weather, not to mention the small population. There I took a related stroll through French, Scandinavian bakers to reach wat si saket, a Buddhist monestry. Visited the day market where I got completely ripped off - I wad charged $60 for a teapot!!!
