stink town

so i've made it to the capital of laos.. i have so much to write but the internet is still relatively expensive here as well.. (relative to me being broke that is)

last night i drank scorpion lao lao (rice whiskey with a scorpion thats been fermenting in it for awhile, twas tasty

i went to caves of unimaginable beauty.. i can't wait to post pics... i have to find my usb cable first. i've done so many amazing things in such a sort time.. i went tubing down the local river in vang vieng and every 5 minutes you get pulled into a restaurant that gives you free lao lao and lets you zipline into the water.. only its not really ziplining its like swing/zip-line-ness.. quite enjoyable, i must say

yesterday really was a fairytale.. i remember having an obsession with stalactites and stalagmites when i was younger and there are no words to describe what i've seen.. a camera can't capture it.. nothing can. nothing but being there in that moment

i'm officially on my own now, all of my slowboat friends (the people i met coming from thailand to laos) have gone their separate ways. I'm off to see if i can afford to go to the beaches of cambodia.. if not i'm back to thailand to go to pai and visit hot springs and whatnot

i'm so broke because my camera went for a little swim :o( <- not a happy girl
i had to buy a used old olympus camera for $90.. i couldn't go to the caves without a camera
