Here's the class that we've partnered with for the Sister school project!
One of the projects I’ve been helping out with for PoP has been with our Sister School (or “Passport Program”) pilot. We’ve been working to bring a school in Brooklyn together with a school in Laos through various media. The first packet was themed “Who we are”, and fifth grade students at Xieng Lohm drew beautiful pictures of themselves and their families. I wanted to share some of my favorites, as they really touch my heart, and you can definitely get a sense what their lives are like! I taught Bay how to use PowerPoint so we could send the students in Brooklyn a translated version of these photos - here you can see Bay's translations (and the titles he chose for the drawings!).

Here Lanoy and her friend are imitating the silly shrugging figures in her drawing (Leslie is pretty sure that Lanoy must have copied the people from some of those health posters - "What? I have worms?!")

PoP built Xieng Lohm's preschool, so I can't talk about XL without showing a picture of the cutsies at the school!
