How did Anime rise from Japan and become the success it is today?

The article " A brief history of Anime" talks about the early years and rise of anime. The article speaks about how anime saw its first origins in the 1920's with short films. Anime are like any cartoon expect that they are targeted at people of all ages. These films were inspired by stories from Japanese culture and even the works of Walt Disney. In the 1940's, Osamu Tezuka ,who is credited as the father of anime, created his first works like "New Treasure Island". In the 1950's, a company called Toei was born. This company would go on to produce anime that is still incredibly popular today. By the 1970's new innovations in anime were being made. Before, anime followed a simple pattern of stories on earth with the familiar good vs. evil style. However, during this time anime became more sophisticated and started to involve science fiction elements that brought new life the world of anime. The 1980's saw an greater rise of anime and its genres. Anime productions, such as Akira and Dragonball, saw international success and are even popular to this day. Studios such as Gainax and Ghibli would rise and later lead anime in the 21st century. By the 90's shows like sailormoon, dragonball, and pokemon were international success. Even the Disney company started to make deals with Japanese anime companies. Anime has truly grown since its first short films in the 1920's. Anime is something incredible that comes from Japan. It is an art form that has been changing and adapting since the 1920's. Anime is incredible because it can have so many various stories to tell. The Japanese writers and artists are the ones that were able to make Anime the entertainment juggernaut that it is today. From the rise of sci-fi anime to more elaborate stories, these were all important in making Anime the international phenomenon that it is today. Popular shows such as Dragon ball, One piece, Naruto, Sailor moon, and Attack on Titan are prime examples of the beauty of Anime. These shows may sport similar looks but the are very different. They tell incredible stories with deep messages about people, society, and the way people think. These stories from Japan captivate us and thrill us with just how captivating they are, and this is all thanks to the work that animators did during the 20th century. Anime will continue to grow and craft beautiful stories that are on par with the worlds best films, literature, and games. Japan has a beautiful art form and it should be cherished.
