So the reason for the trip this weekend was to get to see Kyoto at it's finest, in the midst of the colours of the changing leaves. They are really quite beautiful, as you will see.

Our party as we began our promenade along the Philosopher's Walk, a path along the stream between a few major temples that is lined with little restaurants and shops.

We probably picked the best weekend to go see the colours of Kyoto, but as you can see, so did everyone else. The rushing crowds got to be a little overwhelming after a while, especially for the likes of Dan and I... a bunch of claustrophobic small town Saskatchewan kids.

Ginkaku-ji, or the Silver Temple, is among the favourites of the Japanese temples. It was absolutely breathtaking.

Thanks for the laugh. I am really jealous that you get to go to kindergarten each day! Enjoy it as much as you can. Man you are a great writer! The photos are wonderful and the fall colors so nice to see again. There is no place I have been that is as beautiful as Kyoto in the fall. Seeing Arte is also a nice memory. I could really use a tuna onigiri! Hope this finds you well.
