After the bridge, we went to Mt Aso, a volcano in the middle of Kyushu. Oh...did I mention active too? The tour was planning to go in there but that day, Mt Aso was not happy and it was spewing out a lot of smoke. So much that an elderly lady had to be evacuated shortly after we arrived because of the fumes.
Through all the fumes, Winnie saw corn! And she fought the crowd to get one! It was actually quite nice, even though sweet, it had a slightly smoked flavour to it.
Instead we went to the museum and did the next best thing, take a picture with a picture of Mt Aso. The museum itself contained a lot about volcanoes and was very educational too as we saw a lot of schoolchildren.
